BEHIND THE SCENES

Brandi Michelle Dolendo’s career in the entertainment world does not stop at a successful performing career.  She has in fact, worked as a show designer, entertainment manager and coach for theaters and art programs worldwide.

Brandi spent the time she was not onstage building her backstage portfolio. Not only working both in the cast, but also as Company Manager for companies such as Royal Caribbean and Silverseas, Brandi perfected her leadership skills by managing casts of up to 25 performers.

Brandi Dolendo owned and managed two successful entertainment production businesses in both The Netherlands and in the United Kingdom, where she worked as a show designer and director to create new entertainment shows and concepts for companies such as Inspiration Point Dinner Theater (The Netherlands), Arjan van Dijk Group (The Netherlands), and Bunga Bunga Covent Garden (United Kingdom). Brandi was also hired as Show Designer for The Netherlands biggest theme park, Walibi World, where she created two 30 minute musical productions for daily operations, and was brought onboard as part of the creative team for Fright Nights, the annual Halloween event, where she created and directed a main-stage musical production show and a new scare zone. She was also in charge of managing the daily operations of a team of  35+ performers.

Brandi moved on to work for the British company PEEL Talent, where she created new performance concepts for Thomson and Marella Cruise Lines. Her first concept, the classical crossover concert “Venice Sail Away,” received rave reviews on Cruise Critic, and was installed on every ship in the fleet. PEEL utilized her production talents further in developing new ideas such as Atrium concertscast cabarets and deck parties, and helped to create new performance-based roles such as classical-crossover Specialty Hosts. Brandi was also in charge of re-imagining and installing the 6 person cast production show “Concerto Pop”– where she not only choreographed and directed, but also wrote new vocal arrangements for.

In 2013, Brandi created and directed a headlining rock-opera show called “Crossing the Classics: From Bowie to Bocelli & Prince to Pavarotti”.  This production show ran for 7 consecutive years, and performed over 100 times in theaters, headlined 7 different cruise ships, and was performed at 5 star resorts worldwide. Cruise Critic quoted the production as being one of the best shows to be seen onboard any cruise ship.

Brandi is thrilled to be back in the USA’s entertainment community. She hopes, together with her company Rebel Sky Entertainment, to bring fresh ideas to a scene that has mostly seen repeat concepts, and build a new and exciting road for the future of entertainment in Central Florida.
